COLOMBO — Preparations are entering the final stages at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) for the 27th Colombo International Book Fair (CIBF 2026), running from September 25 to October 4, 2026.

Recognized as Sri Lanka’s largest cultural and educational exhibition, this year’s fair places dedicated focus on early childhood literacy and creative imagination with an expanded Children's Discovery Pavilion.

Young visitors can participate in daily hands-on workshops including clay modeling, comic illustration, interactive puppet theatre, and guided reading circles with celebrated Sinhala, Tamil, and English children’s book authors.

Publishers Association officials confirmed that over 400 national and international book stalls will offer educational literature, curriculum supplementary aids, STEM activity sets, and illustrated storybooks at special student discount rates.
