The Southern Province Tourism Bureau noted that visitor interest in immersive cultural walks, colonial architecture, and high-end gastronomy has spurred boutique room occupancy rates above 75 percent. Industry stakeholders highlighted that targeted global marketing campaigns and improved regional connectivity continue to cement Galle as Sri Lanka's premier destination for high-yielding heritage tourism.
