The Regional Directorate of Health Services in Gampaha has reinforced strict clinical management and fever triage protocols across all primary and secondary healthcare institutions as cumulative district dengue cases reached 20,622. Specialized 24-hour fever corners equipped with rapid blood count analyzers have been established at Gampaha District General Hospital, Negombo Base Hospital, and Mirigama Base Hospital.

Public Health Inspectors (PHIs) and municipal sanitary units have intensified door-to-door premises inspections across high-density urban belts, including Kelaniya, Wattala, and Ja-Ela. Health officials urged residents to eliminate water pooling sites and seek immediate medical evaluation for persisting high fevers to prevent complications.
