More than one hundred Advanced Level Biology and Agriculture students from secondary schools across the Matale district participated in the Faculty of Agriculture Research Day hosted at the university campus.

The experiential program exposed students to cutting-edge research in climate-resilient crop genetics, hydroponic vertical cultivation, and digital soil nutrient mapping. Education coordinators stated that fostering direct academic connections between secondary school scholars and top agricultural scientists inspires youth to pursue careers in food technology, modern agronomy, and sustainable agribusiness.
