COLOMBO — The National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA) has officially commenced student intake and admissions for NVQ Level 4 technical diploma courses nationwide, with application windows open until September 30, 2026.

Specifically designed for students completing the G.C.E. Advanced Level Technology stream (Engineering Technology and Bio-System Technology), the comprehensive vocational programs provide dual-track learning combining classroom technical theory with paid on-the-job industrial apprenticeships.

Disciplines offered across NAITA district training centers include mechatronics, industrial electrical systems, automobile engineering diagnostics, precision machining, and telecommunications cabling infrastructure.

NAITA leadership highlighted that structured public-private apprenticeships ensure vocational graduates possess certified, globally recognized technical competencies, dramatically improving employment placement rates across domestic industries and overseas high-skill markets.
