COLOMBO — The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) has officially opened applications and nominations for the prestigious 34th Annual NCE Export Awards 2026, scheduled to be held in Colombo this coming December.

The announcement coincides with robust export performance figures released by the Export Development Board (EDB), confirming that cumulative export earnings surpassed US$ 7.3 billion across the first five months of 2026—a 7.56% year-on-year expansion compared to the corresponding period in 2025.

This year’s awards theme focuses heavily on innovation, market diversification, and ESG compliance. Submissions will be evaluated by an independent panel of industry experts across major export clusters, including Ceylon Tea, apparel and textiles, rubber products, gems and jewellery, spices, information technology/BPO services, and high-tech electrical components.

NCE leadership emphasized that Sri Lankan exporters continue to demonstrate remarkable resilience in navigating global supply chain shifts, urging enterprises to accelerate direct-to-consumer digital channels and capture premium value-added segments across emerging regional and western markets.
