Additionally, Level 2 (Amber) warnings are enforced across Ganga Ihala Korale and Udapalatha, while Level 1 alerts remain active for Yatinuwara, Pathadumbara, and Udunuwara. Disaster Management Centre (DMC) officials warned that swelling water levels in the upper Mahaweli River basin pose severe flood and slope-failure risks across Peradeniya, Gampola, and Nawalapitiya, instructing residents in designated danger zones to evacuate to pre-identified safety shelters.
