Community welfare infrastructure across estate divisions in Hatton and Maskeliya received a significant boost through projects managed by the Plantation Human Development Trust (PHDT). Executed in collaboration with Regional Plantation Companies (RPCs), the project completed deep-well water filtration plants, community sanitation blocks, and concrete access footpaths serving over 2,400 resident worker families. Additional child-care development centers were opened on target tea estates. PHDT administrators reaffirmed their commitment to elevating living standards, healthcare access, and rural infrastructure across Nuwara Eliya's plantation sector.
