President Anura Kumara Dissanayake met this morning at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo with the parents of Sivarasa Anojan, a Sri Lankan youth currently facing capital punishment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the emotional discussion, the President personally assured Anojan's family that the government has mobilized all available diplomatic, legal, and consular channels through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Sri Lankan Embassy in Riyadh. Senior officials confirmed that high-level appeals for royal clemency and consular intervention are being actively coordinated with Saudi authorities.
