Triggered by NBRI Level 3 (Red) landslide evacuation alerts following 120mm of rainfall in upper catchment zones, engineering teams installed high-tensile steel wire mesh, concrete soil nails, and horizontal slope drainage pipes along critical segments of the Kotmale–Ambagamuwa arterial pass. District disaster coordination teams maintain 24-hour surveillance to ensure rock-fall debris is rapidly cleared, keeping emergency transit lanes accessible for highland hospitals and essential food transport fleets.
