The Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka (SUSL) launched its 'Agri-Food Innova 2026' enterprise incubation challenge at its Belihuloya campus today, September 25, 2026, fostering technological innovation in regional agribusiness.

Spearheaded by the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and the University Business Linkage (UBL) Cell, the initiative provides 25 student-led ventures with laboratory access, intellectual property guidance, and investor pitching masterclasses. Prototype innovations showcased include IoT-powered post-harvest temperature monitors for vegetable transport, organic spice extract value-addition lines, and soil nutrient sensors tailored for smallholder tea growers across the Sabaragamuwa hills.
