Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) inaugurated a specialized five-day regional high-performance conditioning camp at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium (MRICS) in Sooriyawewa today, September 25, 2026.

Featuring 40 top-ranked under-19 cricketers selected across southern provincial schools, the camp utilizes the stadium's expansive turf practice wickets and floodlit net complexes under the supervision of national junior development coaches. The intensive curriculum incorporates biomechanical bowling evaluations, turf wicket batting against specialized spin clinics, and advanced stamina conditioning to prepare promising provincial athletes for upcoming national age-group tournaments.
