The scenic Sahas Uyana Open Arena in Kandy became the focal point of Sri Lanka's indigenous agricultural legacy as the Sri Lankan Spice Expo drew hundreds of traditional growers, processors, and international exporters.

The event highlighted the rich heritage of hill country spices, including Ceylon cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and indigenous pepper varieties cultivated across the Central Province. In addition to commercial trade sessions, traditional artisans demonstrated ancient sun-curing and grading practices, underscoring efforts by the Department of Export Agriculture to preserve cultural farming traditions while boosting global market competitiveness.
