Traffic police units have advised drivers traveling between Kurunegala and Chilaw to divert via Vihara Mawatha and designated local bypass roads during the procession hours. Officers stationed at key intersections will guide motorists to prevent congestion, while temple custodians emphasized that traditional cultural pageantry will proceed under coordinated community safety protocols.
