The Faculty of Technology at the University of Jaffna has finalized proceedings for its upcoming 'TechInn 2026' International Conference on Technological Advances and Innovation, scheduled for late September.

Centering on the theme 'Technological Innovation for a Secure, Smart, and Sustainable Future,' the symposium highlights indigenous agricultural robotics, smart solar cold-storage units, and IoT-driven soil salinity sensors developed by engineering researchers. Faculty deans emphasized that commercializing these localized tech solutions provides dry-zone farmers across the Jaffna peninsula with low-cost automation tools to maximize crop yields while conserving groundwater reserves.
