The University of Kelaniya, in strategic collaboration with the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (SLEDB), officially rolled out the 'Innovation Bridge 2026' commercialization framework today, September 24, 2026, at the university's main Kelaniya campus.

The initiative establishes direct pathways between university research laboratories, digital software incubation units, and leading manufacturing exporters situated along the western industrial corridor. Under the scheme, science and computing undergraduates will develop real-world tech solutions, including AI-driven inventory tracking and digital testing modules, to help domestic enterprises fulfill rigorous European and East Asian export compliance standards.
