The Faculty of Computing and Technology (FCT) at the University of Kelaniya in Dalugama, Gampaha, has inaugurated upgraded research laboratories focused on enterprise cloud architecture, applied machine learning, and data analytics.

Developed in collaboration with leading regional tech foundations, the specialized facilities provide undergraduate software engineers with access to cloud sandbox environments, high-performance computing clusters, and enterprise API testbeds. Faculty leadership emphasized that the expanded tech labs will support undergraduate incubators, enabling student-led software ventures to commercialize proprietary algorithms and drive national digital transformation initiatives.
