The Faculty of Applied Sciences (FAS) at the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka officially commissioned its advanced high-performance computer and statistical modeling laboratory today, September 24, 2026, at the Kuliyapitiya campus premises.

The facility features specialized computing clusters tailored for bio-informatics, financial econometrics, and industrial automated process simulation. University academic directors emphasized that the infrastructure upgrade provides researchers with cutting-edge tools ahead of the upcoming 18th Applied Science, Business and Industrial Research Symposium (ASBIRES 2026), fostering applied research solutions for regional manufacturing and agribusiness partners.
